A Product I Love - 3 Day Straight
Normally I don't do product reviews, but I decided to share something I love. I have a lot going through my head right now, so sometimes concentrating on me is just what I need to do. So, let me tell you a little about 3 Day Straight and why I love it...
I hate my hair. Really, I do. Maybe that’s why I have kept
it short for so long. I decided to grow it out for a bit and see where it gets
me this time. My last hair cut was in January of 2012. Now I have shoulder
length hair that gets put in a ponytail day in and day out. It’s just easier
that way. I have wavy/curly hair that I hate to blow dry. It takes too much
time and in the summer, I don’t want hair on my neck anyway. But, since it’s
officially fall, it’s time to try something new.
I kept seeing commercials for 3 Day Straight. Looks
interesting. After my surgery last month, I dyed my hair a darker brown and
picked up a bottle of 3 Day Straight from Walgreens. The first use, I sucked
it. I put way too much in. Apparently I didn’t know how to interpret 7-12
sprays. I used about 20, which left my hair sticky. Aside from the sticky, it
was easy to use and it did last 3 days, which is about as long as I can hold
out without shampooing anyway. If you wash your hair, the product comes out and
you have to start over again, so you may be left with only 1 or 2 day straight.
So, how do you use it? You start with wet hair and 7-12
sprays of the product (NOT 20!) and then blow dry. I used my boar hair round
brush to help. After blow drying, I let my head cool down and then I heated up
my Instyler. You can use any straight iron, but you MUST use a straight iron
for this to work. After about 10 minutes of using the Instyler, my hair was
definitely very straight! I didn’t need any other product to put in my hair. It
was lovely. And then second and third times I used the product, I used the
right amount of sprays and ho NO stickiness. Day two, you may need to use the
straight iron to tame bed head, but it’s still straight and shiny. Day three
didn’t need any straight iron, but a little bit of baby powder and a brush out
to keep fresh.
In short, the $10.49 I spent on this bottle of 3 Day
Straight was well worth it! I loved how easy it was to use and that it really
does last the 3 days! If you are looking for something to use to keep your
tresses curl free, buy this. I really hope I can find a coupon to replace this
bottle when it gets empty.
